Okay But Could Be Better
The app is alright, but lacks a lot of the functionality that I would have hoped for. Specifically, this is an app that most people are going to make use of after they join Massage Envy as a customer. So, I would presume that booking an appointment is of primary interest. However, the problem with the app is that it walks you through what service and the options youd like to only tell you whats available at the very end. Then, if youd like to try a different location, you need to walk through the same process selecting the service and options youd like. Also, if you are a paying member, it doesnt seem to recognize your lower / free rate. Id think that if there was an option to select multiple locations or locations within a specified range, that would be extremely useful for most clients, but by that same token, itd also show clients that theres actually very little availability for services at peak times.That said, the app does help you make an appointment as long as YOU are flexible with your time, which is exactly the reason that it doesnt work well for me. I have to plan a few days to a week before my appointment to get the time Id like, but, so often, that changes with my work and family schedule. Please do better Massage Envy.
Remedial Massage Price Range: $80
Remedial Massage is the highest level of formal qualification for massage in Australia.It takes about 18 months of full-time study to become a Remedial Massage Therapist.
Remedial Massage Therapists must study:
- Professional Standards Hygiene, Ethics, Confidentiality
- Human Health Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology
- Specific Massage Styles Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release etc.
- Clinic Hours Students must complete a minimum amount of supervised clinic hours
What Should I Expect?
The premises are more likely to have a clinic feel to them.
When you arrive, you will always be asked to fill in a detailed intake form about your issue.
These therapists will be keen to talk to you about your specific issue and really focus in on doing their best to solve it for you by applying specific techniques to the problem areas.
There may be some discomfort experienced but your therapist will work with you to make it manageable.
Does the level of training guarantee that your therapist will be amazing, and you will love them?
No, there is still a huge range of skills and experience out there.
And realistically, no single therapist is likely to be perfect for everyone.
If you want to minimise your risk of injury and ensure you are in a professional environment, a remedial massage is your best bet.
You may also like to have a regular session to keep your tension at bay and they will be fine to help with that as well.

How To Cancel Massage Envy Membership
Due to new company policies, Massage Envy membership cancellation is easy as long as you write an official 30-day-advance notice letter and bring it to the original location where you started your membership. Read the copy of your original contract carefully to see which terms and conditions apply to you.
What Discounts Are Offered To Members
Massage Envy members get discounts on therapeutic massages and other bodywork. For example, some locations offer 1-hour massages to their members for only $40, 90-minute massages for $60, and 2-hour massages for $80. Plus, they can get both hot stone massages and 1-hour facials for only $80 each. Then if you get a second, third or more massages within the same month, the subsequent massages could cost as low as $40 each at some places.

Is There A Cancellation Fee For Massage Envy
If you wish to cancel your appointment, you can cancel your appointment without charging up to 24 hours before the appointment. 50% of the cost of the prescribed service will be charged for cancellation on the same day.
If you do not call to cancel your appointment or show up for your scheduled appointment, you will be charged the full cost of the scheduled service.
How Much Do You Tip At Massage Envy
Massage Envy suggests that you tip your therapist based on the non-member rate. So, your tip would range somewhere between $10-20 for a one-hour massage. Prices for services may vary from location to location. If your local Massage Envy has a one-sheet with suggested tip prices, take a look at it when you stop in.

Does Not Ever Work
Not once have I ever been able to make an appointment on this app. You pay a lot of money for this membership, you do the millions of steps of the app that are required to book, then you find an appointment, but by the time you get to the click to book page and click book appointment, the screen goes blank or it eternally loads. This issue has been going on quite some time now, it never gets fixed. The people in store say there are no issues with the app and it should work fine, but clearly they dont use it. Ive tried making sure there are updates, turned my phone off and on, but it continues to happen. Whats also frustrating is you find one, go through all those steps and take all that time, give up and call, and sometimes that slot is available when you call but other times its not. If you want an app to show you your appointment or research the service options, it works. Its useless for booking appointments. If they fix it Ill change my review, but meanwhile dont waste your time and just call the store if you want a massage. Sadly, the office staff are so busy so if this worked it would save them all so much time, but clearly this app is not a priority. Or maybe its a way to deter you from using your massages.Also, you have to scroll day by day to find one and sometimes that takes a ton of time. If they could just show you when there are openings, it would make this more efficient and user friendly too.
