I thought getting massages once a month would be a great way to give back to my body especially after working out. I thought it would be a great way to relax.
That first massage was just okay. The masseuse didn’t go too hard on me but to be completely honest he kept sneezing and I was a tad bit uncomfortable after the first few times. It was an awkward experience. This was the second massage that I ever got in my entire life and this experience was a lot different than the first. The first time I got a massage it was a couple’s massage and both me and my boyfriend were in the room together. I had a male masseuse and my boyfriend had a female and the place that we went to was local. During my first massage I felt like the masseuse was a bit rough but I enjoyed it because I knew that afterwards my body would feel great and it did. When I got my second massage at Massage Envy I knew that I wouldn’t feel the affects of the massage afterwards and I sure didn’t. It was like I couldn’t wait for it to be over.

The app is alright, but lacks a lot of the functionality that I would have hoped for. Specifically, this is an app that most people are going to make use of after they join Massage Envy as a customer. So, I would presume that booking an appointment is of primary interest. However, the problem with the app is that it walks you through what service and the options youd like to only tell you whats available at the very end. Then, if youd like to try a different location, you need to walk through the same process selecting the service and options youd like. Also, if you are a paying member, it doesnt seem to recognize your lower / free rate. Id think that if there was an option to select multiple locations or locations within a specified range, that would be extremely useful for most clients, but by that same token, itd also show clients that theres actually very little availability for services at peak times.That said, the app does help you make an appointment as long as YOU are flexible with your time, which is exactly the reason that it doesnt work well for me. I have to plan a few days to a week before my appointment to get the time Id like, but, so often, that changes with my work and family schedule. Please do better Massage Envy.

Honestly, no. I dont think that the membership is worth it. I feel like Im being forced to pay for a massage or a facial every month because I know that I have to pay for it. If I did not have to pay every month I would probably skip a month or two and save a lot of money. Essentially there is no difference in the price that you pay for one session each month as a member or not as a member. Im definitely not using all of the benefits and I dont feel like I need to. I also feel like I can get the same products that they sell at discounted rates to members at Sephora when they offer sales. Lastly, I kind of feel like if I want a massage I can get one at home.
Nonetheless, I have yet to try the full body stretch which I am actually very excited to try. I will let you know how that goes.
